Marky, M'boy, I Still Love You.

I love Mark Wahlberg. I think he's great. He's cool, funny, suave, able to laugh at himself, good-looking, smart, attractive, and not ugly, among other things. But, in The Happening he was bad. I don't know if they did a lot of different takes of each scene, but in the end, everything he said had the same style of interrogatory inflection that he has become known for. What I mean is that he has this way of talking that makes it sound as though every sentence is a question, even when it's just a statement. Which, as fun as it is when Andy Samberg does it, can get on the ol' nerves. But, with Marky Mark's bad acting aside... Oh, no, wait, The Happening sucked on top of that. M. Night really dropped the ball on this one. The viewer figures out what's going on in about 3 minutes, and then the viewer automatically assumes that there will be some huge twist at the end that completely changes all their previous assumptions and makes them look the fool. Unfortunately for said viewer, said twist never occurs, disappointing fans worldwide.

In conclusion, The Happening was silly and boring and not funny and dumb and should have had a bigger role for John Leguizamo. That is all.

I haven't seen The Happening, and now that I've read this review I certainly don't plan on it.
I just wanted to let you know that I couldn't help notticing that your last two posts were internetted exactly 36hours apart.
Coindence? Sheer blogging dedication? I'll be checking back tomorrow morning...

Woah, I must have some sort of internal blog-clock that works on a 36-hour cycle.

It's like I'm a girl, but my cycle is only a day and a half long.

Ok, that was gross. Sorry.

Look for somethin' special at 10:23.
