Some More Stories Involving Mike.

Listening to: Abandoned Pools - Humanistic
Unfortunately, I wasted all the stories about me finding out about Abandoned Pools in my last post, so I guess I'll just have to throw some stuff out there, see what sticks.

Probably the first thing I think of when I hear the words 'Abandoned Pools' is the one time when I was driving around with Mike, and I think his girlfriend-at-the-time, and he took us to this abandoned pool in Sherwood Park. (Pretty distant connection, I know.) It was this old acreagey kinda place, sort of off Wye Road and the pool was half-filled with dirt and scum and gross plants and shopping carts and shovels. Apparently Sherwood Park skateboarding high schoolers used to go there all the time, dreaming of what it could be if they cleared all the crap out of it, but that never happened. Later on, Mike and I listened to Ryan Adams in the ol' Wagovan. Cool!

If I had to pick a car that was pretty much never cool, it would be the Wagovan. It was just not a cool car at any point. I mean, who wants an oversized hatchback with some strange manu-matic transmission and little to no suspension? I'll tell you who: nobody. Nobody wants that.

There is one good song on this album. And I listened to it way at the beginning. So, that's disappointing. Better luck next time, I guess.

There truly are internets for err'body. Thanks Krista.

So, are you going out to visit our friend Steve anytime?

Sweet. I can comment. Thanks for changing that. I often want to comment on things, and often when reading your posts you create many opportunities to do so.

I have to say, I love this idea of going through your music. I want to rip you off and start going from Z-A and we can meet in the middle, what do you think?

Clone high is still the funniest cartoon I've ever seen. It's way smarter than say Family Guy and Simpsons, which aren't even in the same ball park in my mind.

AFI - I still remember when you said you were listening to them, or liked them and I was like "Oh no". Though, I know what you mean about listening to music now that you used to listen to, and is considered crappy but you still like it. Mine is Korn. I know it's shitty, but it's so good lol.

Hope to see more posts soon.

Ian, I wholly support your decision to do it Z-A. Do it. Do it.

And yeah, it's pretty fun to listen to classic stuff I used to like. I mean, I'm not going to be all 'OMG, I can't believe I used to like that! Eek!' but I can definitely say my tastes have changed.
