St. Patrick's Day.
I think Newfoundland and Labrador aren't really helping the misconceptions about their fair province/weird-little-colony with their new tourism advertisements on the TELEVISION these days. It looks like a great place, lots of neat scenery and whatnot, but the crux of the commercial on the TELEVISION comes at the end, when, in the little black bar at the bottom of the TELEVISION screen, an information number appears, appealing for you, the TELEVISION viewer, to call "Patrick" at 1-800-whatever. No joke here, Newfoundland and Labrador want you to call "Patrick". Don't worry, "Patrick" will handle your call and direct you as far as how to experience to endless opportunities of his Land. I suppose they're not expecting much buzz to be generated from this series of ads on the TELEVISION, seeing as the only person they have manning the phones is "Patrick", undoubtedly a real live-wire. Poor "Patrick", he's probably all alone in a tiny converted cannery off the coast, soaking in the stench of the Atlantic Cod of Yore, waiting for the phone to ring and put an end to his misery-filled solitude.
Well, "Patrick", for all you do, this Blog's for you.
