Talking To Myself Tonight, Again.
Three days of testing left. Four finals and my first semester is finished with.
I finally got in the last part of my application form to Grant Mac today.
I have done some studying.
I played a silly Drag Racer game on the internet for a good portion of yesterday.
Cleaned my room (again) today. Actually, I'm in the midst of that, taking a wee li'l break to update my faithful.
Interesting stuff is found in the cleaning of a room. For instance, I found that I need to renew my drivers' license a few months ago. Other things I found include: a seriously old sandwich, ten bucks, several compact discs that had been feared gone forever, a friendship, incredibly sexy safety glasses, classic high school photos, a lock of my own hair, my Allied Trucking vest, my North Shore T-shirt, my ugly brown slipper things, six sets of shoelaces, about a gazillion of those Harvest Moon 2004 stickers, about a gazillion of the Clark Builders Site Safety Orientation stickers, my Construction Safety Training card, a free sub, my Student Price Card, all of my ties, about a gazillion receipts, Kavalier and Clay, Deep Thoughts, my cool butane lighter, that Extend-o-Punch thing that a little girl gave me, a first kiss, childlike innocence, and Ernst, the old guy who sold me my pencil case.
'Tis the season of comings and goings. People here will leave and people there will take their places here. It's a weird time.
Some friends walk away for a while, some friends walk back for a while. I'm really looking forward to friends walking back.
There are a few that I am very excited about seeing.
I guess that sounds like I like them more than I like my other friends. Maybe that's true.
I hope I get a job that will allow me to have those two weeks off in July.
I hope I get a job.
I hope.
I'm looking forward to spring clean-ups.
I need to get in better shape.
I have to go to a plastic surgeon on Monday, May 9th.
I have to go to a dermatologist sometime too.
I have to return several books to the library.
The library has evolved into one of my favorite places to write stuff. Specifically the U of A library, up on the 3rd or 5th floor. In the corner somewhere. Southeast, maybe? Nice place. It's quiet, with comfy lime-green and neon-orange chairs.
What's not to like?
I like it when it is warm out and the sun is starting to go down. I like the way the air feels.
The atmosphere changes when that magical time of day happens.
In the spring and summer months, during dusk, things change. The world around you is not the world as it normally is. It is serene, peaceful, and comforting. That's probably my favorite time.
I need to get up earlier in the day. No more of this "sleep in 'till 11:00 and ruin the rest of your day" crap.
Time to get on track.
I think I'll go running as well. That's fun. Sorta.
Sociology, History, Philosophy and English. That's all.
Good Luck Team,
Daytona.
