What a Wild Province!
Today I went to the Royal Alberta Museum. I looked at the Wild Alberta Gallery, filled with all those lovely animals standing perfectly still. It was magical. Not so much in the literal sense of the word, though. Mostly, the magic I felt was nostalgia, the cheapest magic there is!
It brought me back, waaay back, to when I was a wee lad in elementary school on a field trip. Blah, blah, blah, it was fun, memories, etc, boring.
In summary, the animal kingdom is once again safe and sound, dead, behind inch-thick plexi-glass in the museum. Never fear, Mother Nature, we'll protect you!
2 things:
The best thing about now, compared to say, the 60's, is the ever growing divide between Zoo patron's and the animals themselves.
In "The Up Series" the kids are hurling crap at this polar bear and feeding it (Despite the no feeding signs of course). I think it order to hit a polar bear with a french fry these days, you'd need to take a trek around the outside of a Zoo and lob that tasty tater over a 30 foot wall to even have a shot at him (Or her). I say we bring back the danger. Wait, what happened in San Diego again?
This not blogging is bullshit. Go punch Jill. I mean, is it too much to ask that she designs, creates, and births our freaking blog for no effin pay? Geeez.
I wish you could edit comments. That first sentence, well, doesn't say what I want it to exactly lol.
