Holy Smoke.

Today turned surreal in the late afternoon. Up until then it was pretty real.

I awoke and arose around 7:30 in order to drive my father and sister to school, after which I came home for an hour and then left again to go return some sandals and purchase my bus ticket. Then I kicked it old-school over to Lisa's house for ye olde camp planning sesh, complete with waffles and punch. After that, I returned home, showered, cut my hair and left again to go meet the rest of the yard-guys down at the church for sup.

That's when it happened.

I pulled up to the church and found myself rather distracted by the smoke billowing out from it. The multiple fire trucks and police cars only added to my distractedness, kicking off an out of body-like experience. It was all weird. The church being doused, the men running around in their little yellow jumpsuits, and Ted calmly waiting off to the side. I haven't really thought about it too much, it was just really weird. That's all.

Then we went out for eats and a flick. Kingdom of Heaven, not too bad. Seems to me, though, that the Crusades were a thoroughly useless series of events. Anyway. That's all.

I'm leaving in a little bit. I just wet my pants.

DS.
